‘Tis the Season for Giving… and Giving Back! 

Heal Her Heart has coordinated a Holiday Drive in support of Anduhyaun Emergency Shelter for Women and Children and The Redwood Shelter for Women and Children. 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be accepting clothing, canned items, hygiene products, and toiletries. In its place, we kindly ask for monetary donations and/or gift cards. This will enable Anduhyaun Emergency Shelter for Women and Children and The Redwood Shelter for Women and Children to distribute essential items based on both individual needs and the needs of the shelter. 

We are accepting:
Gift cards: President’s Choice, Loblaws, Walmart, Dollarama
Personal Protective Equipment
Hand sanitizer/sanitizing wipes

We are not accepting:
Clothing due to COVID-19 restrictions
Food due to COVID-19 restrictions
Toiletries due to COVID-19 restrictions

About Anduhyaun Emergency Shelter for Women and Children:

Anduhyaun is Canada’s oldest emergency shelter for Indigenous women. They provide support and advocacy for women and children fleeing and/or recovering from the traumas of violence. Anduhyaun is a women run organization, having Indigenous women as their allies in management, staff and community partners. Services offered at the shelter (not limited to); resident support, individual counselling, sexual assault counselling, crisis counselling, life skills counselling, cultural ceremonies.
About The Redwood Shelter for Women and Children:

The Redwood provides programs and services to support women and children transitioning to a life without abuse, homelessness and poverty. Services offered (not limited to): a safe refuge 24 hours a day, telephone counselling, in person counselling for women and children, housing support services, referral to subsidized daycare and school registration, job readiness training and employment counselling, and legal support in immigration, family law and legal aid.
